March 2008 – Ft. Myers, FL –
Marietta Bibbs, Director of Education for The Florida Sleep
School announced this month the launching of the school’s
new website. Marietta said “we are very excited about the future
of this new school and believe we are offering a different learning
environment for our students.” She went on to say “the
website is designed to show that, having a smaller classroom size
inside an AASM accredited sleep center allows students to enjoy an
atmosphere conducive to education” In ending she said “the
website does a good job demonstrating that South West Florida is a
great place to go to school and have some fun doing it” For

March 2008 – Ft. Myers, FL – Andrea Clark,
President of Sleep Management Centers also announced this month the
start of another new business called Signature Sleep Services
LLC. This company will provide a variety of sleep diagnostics
and therapy consultation and management services. Andrea said “we
have been consulting to a number of different groups over the last
year so we felt it was time to move forward and offer a more comprehensive
service.” She went on to say “one very big advantage we
have is the combined experience of over 100 years in sleep medicine
and a large number of contacts spread throughout the sleep community.”

November 2007 – Ft. Myers, FL – Marietta Bibbs,
Director of Education for the Florida Sleep School
is proud to announce that Dr. Sudanese Chockoverty has accepted an
invitation to join the guest facility of the school. Marietta says
“we are very excited to have someone on the faculty with such
a depth of experience in sleep” Dr. Chockoverty is a well known
author in the field of sleep medicine with 12 books to his credit.
Dr. Alex Chediak also accepted a position on the guest facility which
continues to grow with well known physicians and registered sleep

November 2007 - Ft. Myers, FL – Andrea Clark was elected
to a board position with the BRPT on November 17,
2007. Three new members were elected to serve a 4 year term. Andrea
stated that “I am honored to except this new challenge and look
forward to contributing to such an important organization”.
Marietta Bibbs is also involved with the BRPT and
presently serves as the Chair of the Education Advisory Committee.
She commented that “it is very important for the growing field
of sleep medicine to make sure we set the education standards high.”

Marietta Bibbs, VP and Director of Technical Development at Sleep
Management Centers announced the formation of The Florida
Sleep School. Recognizing the need for highly qualified sleep
technicians in the ever changing medical environment, Sleep Management
Centers felt the timing is right to start an educational program in
the SW Florida area that will attract technologists from all over
the country. Marietta states “the goal of the school is to attract
students from other allied health professions looking for a career

the different coarse material and agendas are being fine tuned for

Andrea Clark is invited as a guest speaker at this years World Research
Group’s 2nd Annual Building and Streamlining Sleep Centers
of Excellence taking place October 17-18, in Chicago, IL.
Her talk called Going Paperless: A case study of One Sleep
Center’s Challenges and Successes will focus on
the experience of transitioning their own sleep facility from a paper

September 2007 – Tampa, FL –
Andrea Clark and Marietta Bibbs presented a talk at this year’s
Concepts in Sleep 2007 in Tampa, FL titled Doing
it Right: A Sleep Center from the Ground Up. The talk
focused on the many steps required to design, construct and operate
a successful sleep testing facility. Andrea commented that “
we wanted to present a real life experience detailing the many issues
encountered when setting up a sleep testing facility from scratch”.

August 2007 – Salt Lake City, UT –
Andrea Clark and Marietta Bibbs were both invited to attend the first
annual BRPT SYMPOSIUM held in Snowbird,UT. This event
was dedicated to the advancement of knowledge for RPSGT’S through
education and networking and the enhancement of the RPSGT certification
exam through item writing sessions. Marietta was also a speaker at
the symposium and presented with Cameron Harris on Understanding
the new AASM Sleep Staging and Event Scoring Rules.
Both Andrea and Marietta served as team leaders during the BRPT item

June 2007 – Minneapolis, MO –
Dr. Alex Chediak, Associate Medical Director at Sleep Management Centers
was elected to a one-year term as President of the American
Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) during this year’s
annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies
(APSS). Dr. Chediak spoke on several issues during his inaugural
speech including the need for third party insurance companies to only
pay for services provided by accredited sleep facilities. For more
